Incident Management Team roles

Parks and Conservation incident management team members in a bushland location An Incident Management Team (IMT) is the group of incident management personnel comprising of the incident controller and other personnel appointed to be responsible for the functions of operations, planning, and logistics. As an incident scales up-or-down, so does the size of the IMT.

The Parks and Conservation Service (PCS) has numerous employees who are trained and qualified in IMT Roles. Because fire management (wildfires and prescribed burns) is dynamic, it is crucial that personnel maintain and continue to gain experience. PCS personnel accomplish this by serving as members of an IMT during the prescribed burns program and when assisting the Emergency Services Agency.
