Biodiversity and conservation research in the Environment, Planning and Sustainable Development Directorate (EPSDD) addresses and answers questions relevant for decision-making and management, with three key entry points:
- understanding species and ecosystem characteristics - to inform and guide conservation and management strategies
- understanding conservation and management interventions - their efficacy, viability and impact
- understanding threatening processes - such as urban growth, climate change, weeds, pests and large wildfires
