ACT Scientific Committee

The ACT Scientific Committee is a statutory expert body appointed by the Minister for the Environment under the Nature Conservation Act 2014. Members of the ACT Scientific Committee have expertise in biodiversity and/or ecology, conservation science and conservation management.

The Committee has a significant role in advising the Minister for the Environment and the Conservator of Flora and Fauna in relation to nature conservation, including making recommendations to the Minister on the listing of threatened species and providing advice to the Conservator during development of draft action plans.


Natural Resource Management Advisory Committee

The Natural Resource Management Advisory Committee (NRMAC) is a non-statutory expert advisory committee. The NRMAC provides independent strategic advice to the Minister for the Environment and the Environment, Planning and Sustainable Development Directorate on sustainable natural resource management and nature conservation.


ACT and Region Catchment Management Coordination Group

The Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and Region Catchment Management Coordination Group (the Coordination Group) is a statutory advisory group established under the Water Resources Act 2007 to facilitate improved governance and coordination of water catchment activities within the ACT and the surrounding region.
