The theme of this year’s World Environment Day is Connecting People to Nature and what better way to celebrate than to get outdoors. There’s a host of activities planned from Friday 2 June to Monday 5 June.
These include a twilight tour at Mulligans flat woodlands, a guided walk through the National Arboretum, a chance to feed pelicans and working bees at Black Mountain and Red Hill.
There will also be tree planting days at the Mulligans Flat Woodland Sanctuary, Urambi Hills and Gunning.
On Monday 5 June (World Environment Day) there will be a special display in Garema Place where you can meet a Bettong and a Grassland Earless Dragon or learn more about the various opportunities in our parks and reserves.
