Seeking local environment projects

The ACT Government is providing over $200,000 in grants to support community-based projects that care for the environment and strengthen people’s connection to nature.

Individuals, community groups and incorporated non-profit or private organisations are invited to apply for the grants. Funding priorities for 2019–2020 include:

  • connecting people to nature
  • managing threats to biodiversity, such as managing weeds and/or pest animals
  • enhancing biodiversity, including in urban areas
  • engaging the community in on-ground environmental work
  • improving opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents through ‘Connecting to Country’

Grant application packs are available from the Environment Grants webpage or by phoning Access Canberra on 13 22 81.
