Managing contaminated sites

Managing contaminated sites

Have your say about how Australia manages and cleans up contaminated sites.

A new national framework is being developed to guide the remediation and management of contaminated sites in Australia, including the ACT.

The associated package of documents has been developed over five years by the Cooperative Research Centre for Contamination Assessment and Remediation of the Environment. Consultation has taken place with governments, industry and experts. General public consultation on the draft framework is now open until 31 March 2019.

A national roadshow will be taking place as part of the consultation. The session in Canberra will be held from 9 am to 12.30 pm on Monday 25 February 2019 at level one north, ground floor, Dame Pattie Menzies House, 16 Challis Street in Dickson. You can register your interest in attending the roadshow in Canberra by clicking here (registration is free).
