The ACT Government is asking the community to comment on a new land management plan for urban lakes and ponds.

Canberra’s urban lakes and ponds are a much-loved, iconic part of the Canberra landscape, valued for their beauty, recreational opportunities and environmental role. Each lake and pond is unique, and is managed differently to reflect its different values, functions and needs.

The plan covers all urban lakes and ponds except Lake Burley Griffin, which is managed by the National Capital Authority.
