Community Garden and Zero Emissions grants now open

Community Garden and Zero Emissions grants now open

4 May 2020

The popular ACT Government grants for community gardens and zero emissions projects are now open with $167,000 available to help community groups improve the city’s sustainability.

Successful projects will help us meet our 2045 target of net zero emissions and help stimulate our economy at an important time. Grants are open to non-profit organisations and individuals.

The ACT Community Zero Emissions Grants program supports non-profit organisations and individuals to inspire behaviour change through innovative projects that demonstrate how to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in different sectors such as energy, transport, building and waste.

The Community Garden Grants program helps groups develop and expand community gardens across Canberra, and may include established gardens, new gardens, school gardens and innovative gardens such as bush tucker gardens or gardens for people with disabilities.

Grant applications up to $25,000 for the zero emission grants and $10,000 for the community gardens grants are invited.

Applications close 29 June 2020.
