ACT Natural Resource Managment Advisory Committee
The Natural Resource Management Advisory Committee (NRMAC) is a non-statutory expert advisory committee. The NRMAC provides independent strategic advice to the Minister for the Environment and Climate Change and the Directorate on the sustainable management of the Territory’s natural resources.
This includes advice on the ACT’s nature conservation governance framework relating to:
- Urban development;
- Biodiversity monitoring;
- Landscape scale threats and management priorities; and
- Relevant cross border issues.
All appointees to the NRMAC have appropriate expertise and qualifications to advise Government on a range of natural resource management issues in the ACT.

Expressions of interest for new committee member sought
A position on the Natural Resource Management Advisory Committee (NRMAC) has become available for the remainder of the current NRMAC’s term (July 2016 – June 2019). Expressions of interest are sought from people with appropriate expertise and qualifications to advise Government on a range of natural resource management issues in the ACT. Applicants may also express interest in taking the Chair position.
Although expressions of interest are being sought for a female representative on the NRMAC, to maintain the gender balance on the committee, all applications will be kept on a register that may be used for future positions that may become vacant within the current term.
