Roland Breckwoldt

Roland has worked on agricultural and natural resource management policies and programs in the NSW and Australian governments. He also is a skilled facilitator and communicator and is experienced in designing and implementing community consultation and public participation programs.

As a consultant, he has developed a wide professional network and worked with the Australian and state governments, Aboriginal organisations and the corporate sector. A recent consultancy involved leading a multi- disciplinary team completing a biosecurity management and monitoring plan for the Department of Defence at the Holsworthy Training Area.

Roland has written over 30 publications, including four books, on natural resource management. He has been an invited speaker and lecturer on environmental conservation and rural land management issues in all states and mainland territories of Australia.

Roland has been a Councillor on Bega Valley Shire Council.  He has also served as an elected director on the Far South Coast Pastures Protection Board. He has been a member of a number of Australian Government, NSW Government and other advisory policy committees and was made a Fellow of the University of New England in 1996 in recognition of his contribution to sustainable rural land use.
