PCS Healthy Country Programs (HCP) acknowledges the interconnected relationship between the health of the environment and cultural wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
HCP coordinates the Murumbung Ranger Program and Murumbung Yurung Murra network and has carriage of policy development and implementation of a range of community engagement, cultural interpretation, heritage and land, fire and water management activities. These are designed to educate and maintain the cultural landscape in collaboration with local Traditional Custodians and the broader Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community - to better manage ‘Country’ together.
Healthy Country builds on the ACT Government’s long term commitment to its Aboriginal Ranger program, and implements a range of cultural interpretation, community engagement, heritage, fire, water and land management activities across the ACT.
