Prescribed burning

Prescribed burning

Smoke in the Aranda area today is from a small one hectare hazard reduction burn south of Walu Street to the Aranda Houses Fire Trail.

Some prescribed burns lit earlier may continue to produce smoke today and over the weekend. These include two large prescribed rural burns at Piccadilly and Potter’s Hill in Namadgi National Park.

ACT Parks and Conservation fire officers will continue to patrol and monitor all recent burn sites.

For tips on how to stay safe if there is smoke in the area, visit the Asthma Foundation website.

Please see our map showing the location of all burn sites.
