Heritage Guidelines - Blandfordia 4 Precinct, Forrest

For the purposes of section 26 of the Heritage Act 2004, the ACT Heritage Council is notifying draft guidelines relating to the Blandfordia 4 Precinct, Forrest.

These Guidelines determine how development is to take place in the Blandforida 4 Precinct Forrest. They directly affect the advice given by the Heritage Council to the ACT Planning and Land Authority about the impact of development applications on heritage significance, particularly in relations to ways of avoiding or minimising the effect of a development on the heritage significance of:

  • District of Canberra Central, Division of Forrest, Section 1 Blocks 1-14; Section 2 Blocks 1-22; Section 9 Blocks 1-8; Section 10 Blocks 1 (Park); Section 11 Blocks 1-6; Section 37 Blocks 1-13; Section 38 Blocks 1-14; Section 39 Block 1 (Park); Section 40 Blocks 1-13; Section 41 Blocks 1-13; Section 42 Blocks 1-14; Section 43 Blocks 1-15; Section 44 Blocks 1-15; Section 45 Blocks 2-3 (Collins Park); Section 46 Blocks 1-15; and Section 47 Blocks 1-11; pedestrian walkways at Block 16 Section 44 and Block 15 Section 42; and adjacent road easements, traffic islands and verges.

Members of the public are invited to submit comments to the Heritage Council by 20 April 2007.
