Heritage Festival

Thank you to all 2012 Canberra and Region Heritage Festival event organisers, participants and visitors. Please find below a number of comments and photos from a few of the activities held during the two week festival.

"An excellent activity – well organised and managed."

"Lovely way for children to learn about heritage."

"Brings our heritage to the notice of the public."

"Well done. Looking forward to next year."

"Good day out for both adults and kids."

"A great variety of activities and history."

"Friendly and welcoming hosts."

"Keep it going!"

The ACT Heritage Unit is already in the preliminary stages of planning for next year’s festival. As 2013 is the Centenary of Canberra we will be looking for a wide variety of opportunities to engage the community in the stories of the region, particularly those stories that haven’t been told before and those places that aren’t well known. If you have any ideas or feedback, please contact the festival coordinator on 6207 0893.
